The Wythe County Board of Supervisors is seeking proposals for engineering services related to the construction of a 1.5 million gallon water storage tank in Wythe County, Virginia. The project will be sited at the existing Raper Ridge tank site and consists of the construction of a new 1.5 million gallon concrete storage tank (80-ft diameter with 40-ft side water depth), additional piping connections to an existing 20-in water main, tank overflow and drain lines (discharge to an on-site rip rap splash basin), associated control valves and telemetry, the extension of an existing gravel access road, grading and seeding, and erosion and sediment control measures. The engineering services required include: basic services, to include preliminary and final design documents, contract award documents, construction engineering oversight and coordination; and additional services such as easement assistance and permitting (state, federal, and other regulatory agencies). The successful offeror will work closely with the Wythe County Engineer and will be the Engineer-of-Record for the project. A preliminary engineering report has been developed and is available for review. Preliminary construction estimates are in the $1 million to $5 million range.
Interested offerors are requested to provide five copies of qualifications and references on Standard Form (SF) 330.
Proposals will be received at the office of Stephen D. Bear, Wythe County Administrator, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, VA 24382 until 2:00 p.m. local prevailing time Friday, March 17th, 2017.
All elements of this project will comply with US Department of Agriculture Rural Development guidelines.
