WYTHE COUNTY, Va.- Wythe County residents should be aware of potential disruptions to trash and recycling services this weekend.
Due to a hazardous waste incident at the Joint Public Service Authority of Wythe and Bland County’s Transfer Station, the site has been temporarily closed down as of Friday afternoon.
This unexpected closure means that the Wythe County Trash and Recycling Centers cannot deliver collected refuse to the station. Centers may have limited capacity over the weekend and some may need to close completely.
