Wythe County, Virginia, is seeking bids for repairs to its Envirodyne Systems Belt Filter Press. The work to be performed generally consists of disassembly, removal, inspection, repair, reassembly, installation and alignment of pillow block bearings and the filter press rollers.

Sealed Bids will be received at the Wythe County Administration Offices, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, Virginia 24382 until 2:00 P.M. local prevailing time on February 19, 2020. The Wythe County Board of Supervisors is seeking proposals for an Architectural and Professional Engineering Services term contract. Awards may be made to more than one Offeror. Contract term will be for one year and may be renewable for two additional one-year terms. Project types under the contract include: preliminary engineering design and estimates (water, wastewater, maintenance and repair, minor construction), environmental assessments, studies, and other engineering-architectural type requirements which may arise from time-to-time. Fair and reasonable prices as negotiated shall be used in determining the cost of each project performed.
Interested firms or individuals are requested to submit five copies of qualifications and references on Standard Form (SF) 330. Proposals will be received at the office of Stephen D. Bear, Wythe County Administrator, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, VA 24382 until 10:00 a.m. local prevailing time Thursday, January 23, 2020.

A proposed public hearing is to give the citizens served by the Wythe County public water system an opportunity to comment on the proposed rate change. In accordance with the Code of Virginia Section 15.2-2119, and subsequent revisions, the Wythe County Board of Supervisors proposes to change the rates charged for water services on January 1, 2020, as follows:

The public hearing will be conducted on December 10, 2019, beginning at or about 7:05 p.m. and may be continued if necessary. The public hearing will be held in the Board Room of the County Administration Building, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, Virginia.
The Wythe Bland Joint Public Service Authority will receive bids from qualified contractors to make repairs to the Transfer Station until 2:00 p.m. on December 2, 2019. The bids shall be opened publicly at 2:30 p.m. at the Wythe County Administration Building, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, VA 24382. The bids must be sealed and clearly marked “Bids for Transfer Station Repair”. The address for submitting proposals is 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, VA 24382. Bids received after 2:00 p.m. local prevailing time shall not be accepted.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the Transfer Station, 169 Kents Lane, Wytheville, VA 24382 on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
