Notice is given that the Board of Supervisors of Wythe County, Virginia (the “Board”), will hold a public hearing on the proposed issuance of bonds at one time or from time to time by Wythe County. The estimated maximum aggregate amount of the bonds is $2,103,000. The general purposes for which the bonds are to be issued, and the proposed uses of the proceeds of such bonds, are (a) to finance the cost of improvements to the County’s sewer system, including improvements around Exit 24 on Interstate 77 in the eastern part of the County, for which use more than 10 percent of the total bond proceeds is expected to be used, and (b) to pay the costs of issuing the bonds. The public hearing, which may be continued or adjourned, and at which persons may appear and present their views on the proposed bond issue, will be held at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, on September 20, 2016, before the Board in the Board Room of the County Administration Building, located at 340 South Sixth Street in Wytheville, Virginia.
The Tuesday, November 8, 2016 regularly scheduled meeting of the Wythe County Board of Supervisors has been changed to Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the County Administration Building, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, Virginia.
The Wythe County Board of Supervisors is seeking proposals for the preparation of a combined Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) and Environmental Assessment (EA) for three areas within Wythe County. Award will be by competitive negotiation utilizing the following evaluation factors: (1) Experience, Organization and Approach; (2) Project Management Approach ; (3) Working Relationship with Public Sector; (4) Scope of Services to be Provided; and (5) Cost Control Budgeting Methodology. The following outlines the scope of the project:
Olive Branch Road. A waterline and related appurtenances in the environs of Dunford and Olive Branch Roads. This project will address four primary line extensions: (1) Olive Branch Road (1920 lf); (2) Dunford Road (9020 lf); Olive Lane (4,700 lf); and Grandview Drive (3,550 lf).
Atkins Mill Road. A waterline extension along Atkins Mill Road, starting at Chapman Road, and continuing to the environs of Muskrat Road, Newground Road, Whippoorwill Road, Laurel Ridge Road, Crystal Lane, Hedrick Drive, and Sult Street, consisting of 30,000 linear feet of waterline and related appurtenances.
Rickey Road. This project for 20 planned connections extends an existing waterline by 3,100 feet.
Hydraulic modeling is to be included in the PER. The PER and EA will be in a format normally acceptable to funding agencies such as USDA Rural Development or the Virginia Department of Health.
Interested firms or individuals are requested to submit five copies of qualifications and references on Standard Form (SF) 330. Proposals will be received at the office of Stephen D. Bear, Wythe County Administrator, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, VA 24382 until 2:00 p.m. local prevailing time, Tuesday, December 27, 2016.

This is an invitation to submit a bid to the Wythe County Board of Supervisors for a Computer Aided Dispatch system and a computerized Records Management System. These systems should have the capability to integrate with each other as well as with VCIN/NCIC. They should have PAWN, ETICKET, Mobile, CAD mapping and AVL, Evidence and Civil Process modules at a minimum. Sealed bids will be received at the Wythe County Offices located at 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, VA 24382 until 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 29, 2016, at which time they will be opened and publicly read.

Wythe County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to waive all technicalities, reject any and all bids, and make the award in the best interest of the County.
In compliance with Sections 15.2-2006, 15.2-2272 and 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia as amended, the Wythe County Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing to consider adopting an ordinance entitled, “An Ordinance Discontinuing and Vacating a Public Right-of-Way Located on 10th Street Between Brock Avenue and Virginia Avenue in the Community of Max Meadows, Fort Chiswell Magisterial District, Wythe County, Virginia”. The Board of Supervisors will hear comments from citizens concerning the adoption of the proposed ordinance.
The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at 7:30 p.m. in the Board Room of the Wythe County Office Building, 340 South Sixth Street, Wytheville, Virginia.
